March 15, 2007 Bringing Bethel’s MBA to Duluth Two years ago, SWP developed the creative strategy for introducing Bethel University’s new MBA program. At the time, SWP outlined potential hazards. “ I remember thinking during our meetings that we were entering an already mature MBA market and to be honest, it made me a bit nervous. But, Bethel was set to offer a different kind of program — one that wove ethics through the fabric of each course. Once we understood that, we knew we had a chance,” says SWP partner, Bruce Schultz. Bethel now has over 200 students in the program, and now SWP is helping Bethel recruit for an MBA cohort in Duluth scheduled to begin in September. “We’ve worked with a limited budget, and that restriction forces you to think creatively about the strategy for reaching more prospective MBA students, says Liz Schwiesow, who helped develop and implement the plan. “And it’s paid off for Bethel.” (return)
